「留学スタートブック」第２版を公開しました
このたび、笹川平和財団笹川奨学金事業グループは第１版の「留学スタートブック」を改訂し、第２版を公開しました。 留学とはどういうことか、留学にはどのようなステップが必要か、英国・米国の大学はどのように応募者を選考するのかなど、第１版の出版後の私たちの経験を元に新しい学びの成果を加えました。英国の情報も追加しています。装いも新たになった第２版を、ぜひご覧ください。

『海洋白書2019』英文版の公開につきまして
笹川平和財団海洋政策研究所 は『海洋白書2019』の英文版『-Selections- White Paper on the Oceans and Ocean Policy in Japan 2019』 を発行しました。

『海洋白書』は、わが国の海洋問題の総合的・横断的な取組みに資することを目的に2004年から毎年発行され、海洋に関心を寄せる方々に国内外の最新動向や情報・知識を提供してきました。英文版の発行は、2018年に続き2冊目になります。
巻頭特集では、2019年6月に大阪で開催されたG20を視野にプラスチックごみ問題を取り上げ、1930年代から現在までの歴史を追いつつ、国内外の問題と対応についてまとめております。表紙もそれを意識したデザインへと一新しております。この他のテーマとして、科学技術イノベーションや海洋環境保全等についても取り上げています。
『海洋白書』英文版は、国際社会でも関心が高まっている日本をはじめとする国際的な海洋政策の動向について解説する資料となり、海洋の諸問題に対して各国のさまざまなステークホルダーの理解が深まることが期待されます。
