On December 11, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation will host Mr. Keith Luse, Executive Director of the National Committee on North Korea, on North Korea and the Seven Party Talks.

Among other things, based on his experiences as an expert on North Korea, his speech will touch on the history and future possibility of multilateral approaches to break the impasse in the negotiation with North Korea while reviewing the current Japan-North Korea and U.S.-North Korea relationship.

Details of the event are as follows:
Mr. Keith Luse
Previously, Mr. Luse was the Senior East Asia Policy Advisor for Chairman and later Ranking Member Senator Richard G. Lugar at the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2003 until 2013. During fourteen years of working for Senator Lugar in Washington D.C., Mr. Luse had numerous meetings and interactions with North Korean officials inside North Korea and in the United States. Luse's first trip to North Korea in 2003 related to the transparency of distribution of U.S. food aid inside the country.
