"Blue Economy in the Ocean Super Year 2025: Views from Japan" on NHK World

2025 has been dubbed the Ocean Super Year, a pivotal moment for advancing international rules that safeguard our ocean. With crises ranging from global warming and plastic pollution to resource depletion, the “Blue Economy” is a key concept for shaping the future of our ocean, with the goal of achieving both economic growth and sustainability.
 
In this special program, SPF President Atsushi Sunami discusses Japan’s approach to the “Blue Economy” based on video reports from across the country.
