Asia and Middle East Unit
Social Innovation Program

Societal challenges in Asia are collaboratively and sustainably solved by catalyzing social innovation.

This program strives to lead cross-pollination of ideas and actions to enable social innovation, in order to solve societal challenges and to realize inclusive society.

We pay particular attention to reshape Asian society through economic empowerment, inclusivity and grassroots-level social innovation. We intend to catalyze social innovation to support communities to overcome social challenges in a collaborative and sustainable manner. To date, our work has included improving access to education for children of migrant workers in Thailand, researching population displacement induced by climate change and supporting social entrepreneurship ecosystem, and closing the gap by supporting women entrepreneurs to scale and develop. We combine research and concrete technical assistance project implementation, partnering with local, regional, and global organizations and leveraging our unique independent status to advocate pragmatic policy recommendations to achieve transformative changes and lasting impact.
