Libyan leaders request cooperation for peacebuilding initiatives 
Courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Abdullah Allafi, vice president of Libya’s Presidential Council, and additional members 

A delegation led by H.E. Mr. Abdullah Allafi, vice president of Libya’s Presidential Council, met with Dr. Atsushi Sunami, president of SPF to discuss the situation in Libya and peacebuilding initiatives. During the meeting, Vice President Allafi and other participants expressed their intention to establish a peace institute to promote peacebuilding and national reconciliation in Libya and across the region and discussed potential cooperation in the future.

Interview with Vincent Pala, Member of Parliament for Shillong, Meghalaya state, India 
As India looks to deepen ties with Japan and other countries through its Act East policy, SPF’s Asia and Middle East Program welcomed a delegation of six parliamentarians from across Northeast India for a series of meetings and tours in Tokyo and Gunma prefecture. The leader of the delegation, Vincent Pala, sat for an interview to discuss the various site visits, the significance of international exchanges, and expectations for future collaboration between Japan and India.
