Now that nearly three years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster, I would like to introduce the state of current efforts aimed at the revitalization of Fukushima Prefecture, and, of the efforts undertaken so far, projects aimed at accumulating related industries by promoting renewable energies in particular. Symbolic of these efforts is the demonstration research project on floating offshore wind power.

A Citizens Group Supports Discussion Towards Reconstruction: Initiatives being carried out in Shiogama City, Miyagi Prefecture

With the Miyagi prefectural government's release in August 2011 of the Sendai-Shiogama Restoration and Reconstruction Guide, discussions began on improving waterfront areas, including the Kitahama Green Embankment, a symbol of the reconstruction efforts. I would like here to introduce Shiogama City's initiatives to put citizens groups' discussions to use in city planning.
