A jellyfish boom has arrived in the Ariake Sea, due to the mass birthing of Edible Jellyfish in 2012. Coupled with the slump in other seafood catches, some fishermen's livelihood has now come to depend on jellyfish. However, as jellyfish are now being overfished, appropriate fish management is needed if we desire a sustainable jellyfish fishery.
