SPF-APSA Congressional Fellowship Program
Since 2022, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) has offered the SPF-APSA Congressional Fellowship Program to nurture professionals with strong expertise in U.S. politics and U.S.-Japan relations.
On Monday, June 16, the Strategy and Deterrence Group of the Japan-U.S. Security Research Unit hosted a visit from Professor LI Shui-Hui, Associate Professor Tadahiro Ishihara, Assistant Professor Yang Wen-Ting, and master's students from the Japanese Studies Program at the Institute of East Asian Studies, National Chengchi University . The visit began with a briefing by RADM Yamamoto, Director Strategy and Deterrence, who introduced the foundation's activities and related issues. This was followed by an exchange of views on Japan-Taiwan relations and security issues.
