New Accord publication from UK's Conciliation Resources features SPF peacebuilding experience in southern Thailand

October 7, 2020
As part of efforts to promote innovation in conflict resolution and work toward a more peaceful society, the UK-based organization Conciliation Resources with the support of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) has published Accord Issue 29, Pioneering peace processes: Making connections to end violent conflict, the most recent installment in its acclaimed publication series that compiles rigorous analysis of peace processes from around the world.

Issue 29, published on October 6, 2020, takes a comprehensive look at a range of case studies around the world and emphasizes the critical nature of establishing connections in the early stages of the peace process to set the stage for sustainable progress.

Maho Nakayama, Director of the Asia Peace Initiative Department at SPF, and Akiko Horiba, Program Director and Senior Program Officer of the Asia Peace Initiatives Department, contributed their years of experience focusing on peacebuilding in southern Thailand in an article entitled “Reflections from a donor-doer: Fostering pathways to peace in Southern Thailand.”
