SPF Security Strategy Forum
Policy Recommendation on Enhancing the Foundation for Human Resource Base of Defense Capabilities

On May 14, SPF will hold an event featuring the members of the “Security Strategy Studies Project,” a study group established in April 2024. They will present the policy recommendation above and lead a discussion on measures Japan should take to strengthen the human resource base of its defense capabilities.

[Event Report] Arctic Connections 2025 and the Italy-Japan Seminar on Arctic Cooperation
Rome and Florence, 31 March – 3 April 2025

From March 31 to April 3, SPF took part in a series of high-profile Arctic-themed events in Italy, affirming the foundation's growing leadership in advancing dialogue, scientific collaboration, and multilateral diplomacy in the polar regions. SPF’s involvement began with the international conference "Arctic Connections 2025 – Space in the Arctic", co-organized by the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI), the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Rome, and Nord University’s High North Center for Business and Governance.

The Role of Parliamentarians for Advancement of WPS Agenda
On February 6, 2025, SPF hosted a symposium titled "The Role of Parliamentarians for Advancement of WPS (Women, Peace and Security) Agenda." The event particularly focused on the role of parliamentarians, and featured works of parliamentarians from Ukraine, Philippines (Mindanao), India and Japan, who have made great achievements for advancement of WPS agenda in the past.
