Project Outline
In recent years, the strategic significance of Okinawa, particularly the Nansei Islands, has been increasing, underscoring the need to establish awareness of the international situation surrounding Japan to better inform public opinion.
This project offers fellowships to mid-level leaders in Okinawa and organizes a public symposium for Okinawan citizens to provide information on security issues. By encouraging debate on security issues in Okinawa, the project aims to create an environment in which these topics can be discussed moving forward.
