Takuma Matsu is a research fellow at the Sasakawa Foudation (SPF). He received an M.A. in International Relations from the Graduate School of Global Studies at Sophia University in Japan. While completing this master course, he was selected as a member of the Kingfisher Global Leadership Program. He received a B.A. in Arts from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Dokkyo University in Japan.
He worked for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) between 2006-2011 in the Northeastern Army, Reconnaissance Unit. He retired from the JGSDF in 2011.
In April 2022, he began his current position at SPF.
