High expectations for strengthening relations with the 'Third Neighbor' Japan, and views on gender equality, economy and environmental issues

Twenty-five years have passed since the democratization of Mongolia. While the country has a smaller gap in gender equality of employment, as a female politician, Dr. Oyun Sanjaasuren says she has felt 'lack of trust', which led to wrong decisions and opinions made. That is why she finds it important to put trust in people she works with. The interview covers a range of topics including women's empowerment, Mongolia's relationship with Japan and the environment, in which she highlighted the issue of how to sustain ever-growing population numbers, which follows with ever-growing demand for energy and resources.
