Fishermen are lamenting that it has become difficult to catch fish. So, the fishing gear industry stocks rivers and seas with fish to promote fishing. The government tells us "to breed the fish" by stock enhancement. Who do the fish belong to?

FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) boats, which have been abandoned on seashores, harbors and rivers on a nationwide scale, have become a matter of public concern. One of the reasons is that technology development for scrapping and recycling these boats has not been adequately addressed. Aiming at establishing a disposal process that is low-priced and suitable for the recycling-based society, it is proposed to design a disposal and carrier ship for abandoned FRP boats as a total recycling system on which all the processes ranging from the recovery to the reclamation can be conducted.

An introduction will be made on basic policies of the 7th Master plan of the Port of Tokyo aiming to strengthen the key role in supporting lives and industries in the Tokyo metropolitan area from the logistics aspect.
