Privatization of Kobe Port Terminal Corporation and Future Port Management

President, Kobe Port Terminal CorporationThe Kobe Port Terminal Corporation, which has constructed and managed the Kobe port container terminal, has, in order to aggressively pursue talent and capital from the private sector, decided to undergo privatization and re-start its operations as a limited company. Although many issues remain to be solved, since the Port of Kobe (Hanshin Port) has been designated as one of the "Strategic International Container Ports Eby the Japanese government, the new limited company, as the main body for port management, is making many efforts to contribute to the development of Kobe Port. This article will introduce some of these activities. -
On Coordinating Policy for Development of the Japan-China-Korea Distribution Market

The Japan-China-Korea distribution market, though currently enjoying a growth in volume, is expected to enter an even greater period of prosperity in future. The need to create efficient coastal distribution systems can be easily seen from shipping companies ESupply Chain Management (SCM) strategies and the strategic activities of distribution enterprises. As a measure for coordinating policy for development of coastal distribution systems, I raise three issues in this article.

In order to spread ocean education and recreation, I believe sea kayaking should be included in the school curriculum as well as in social education.
