Haneda Airport Extension Plan

The relief of the Tokyo metropolitan area's lack of airport capacity is an important factor in the recovery of Japan's economic environment. Investigation into the regions third airport requirements can be addressed by the extension of Haneda Airport that is feasible for the next three main reasons; 1. Haneda Airport is close to municipal Tokyo and therefore most convenient, 2. Construction costs are comparatively small, 3. The extensions would take comparatively less time.

Ship Navigation and Airport Issues in Tokyo Bay

The improvement of the Tokyo metropolitan area's international airport facilities is by no doubt a very important issue in regards to maintaining the stable economic and social development of Japan as one of the major industrialized companies. However, careful and comprehensive investigations into the construction of such an airport must be made so as not to affect the safe navigation of ships within Tokyo Bay.

Expansion of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area's Primary Airport Capacity Including a New International Terminal

For the economic community in Japan, the Tokyo metropolitan area needs to; 1. Address the lack of capacity in present domestic terminals and increase the capacity of present international terminals from a more internationally competitive prospective, and 2. Having cleared all maritime requirements, without any further delay, effect an "Airport Capacity Extension Plan" for the future, as an increase in primary capacity is absolutely essential.
