With an increasing dependence on overseas oil resource, China is developing a strategy related to securing strategic posts along the sea lanes from the Middle East to China.Securing China's strategic posts in the area around the Arabian and Andaman Seas puts a problem to the modalities for maritime security of the Indian Ocean.Japan who also has an increasing dependence on Middle Eastern oil needs to be active and involved on this subject.
