The northeastern region of India was the site of some of the fiercest clashes between the Japanese and Allied Forces during WWII. To center the community perspective of this global event as remembered by those who experienced the war in their own community, SPF alongside The Nippon Foundation have collaborated with two teams on the ground to record the stories of people who lived through what is known locally as the Japan War.
