On October 30th, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation will host Admiral Dennis C. Blair, the 3rd Director of National Intelligence of the USA.

The Sasakawa Peace Foundation has researched the legislative system of Cybersecurity in Japan in 2016. This time, we will open the outcome of research to the public. We are looking forward to your participation and grateful if this seminar helps you understand the present situation of Cybersecurity in Japan.

Admiral Dennis C. Blair (ret)
the 3rd Director of National Intelligence, former Commander in Chief of the U.S. Pacific Command

Admiral Dennis Blair is Chairman of the Board and Distinguished Senior Fellow (Non-Resident) of Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA. He serves as a member of the Energy Security Leadership Council; on the boards of Freedom House, the National Bureau of Asian Research, the National Committee on US-China Relations and the Atlantic Council. Blair led the sixteen national intelligence agencies as the Director of National Intelligence (1/2009-5/2010). Blair was president and CEO of the Institute for Defense Analyses (2003-2006). Before retiring from a 34-year Navy career in 2002, Blair was the Commander in Chief, U.S. Pacific Command. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Blair earned a master’s degree in history and languages from Oxford University as a Rhodes scholar. Two commissions he co-chaired have issued recent reports: Oil Security 2025: U.S. National Security Policy in an Era of Domestic Oil Abundance, and The Report of the Commission on the Theft of American Intellectual Property.
