“Women’s Empowerment in International Organizations”
(Tuesday, November 26, 2019)
The Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) cordially invites you to a public lecture entitled “Women’s Empowerment in International Organizations” by Ms. Josée Touchette, Executive Director at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Since 2017, SPF has focused on the topic of women's empowerment as one of the five priority goals informing the foundation's work. In order for Japan to make a significant contribution to the international community, it is essential that women actively participate in all aspects of society including politics, economics, education, and science. Accordingly, SPF has been implementing various projects to support greater women’s empowerment.
This lecture will serve as an opportunity for the audience to learn about the working practices and issues facing women in international organizations based on Ms. Touchette’s expansive experience. We are looking forward to welcoming you to this unique and informative event.
