Project Type | Self Operated |
Budget | 34,000,000 yen |
Project Outline
As it becomes increasingly important for Japan to cooperate with other Indo-Pacific nations that share its values, Europe is also strengthening ties with Asia, its economic center of gravity.
Japan and the European Union (EU) have in recent years come to share a strong common interest in the maritime security of the Indo-Pacific region. By convening international conferences between these parties that bring together both the public and private sectors (Track 1.5), this project provides an opportunity for discussions focusing on ways to promote cooperation while also laying the groundwork for sustained and constructive discussions between Japan and the EU on this topic.
