Project Outline
In this project, we will study the new domain of cybersecurity by carrying out surveys and research to shed light on policy issues that will be the subject of discussions in the future and explore solutions to the challenges we face. This fiscal year in particular, we will deepen the ongoing debates on the two topics of, 1) legal issues related to national security in new operational domains such as cybersecurity, and 2) disinformation in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as conduct research on the new topic of 3) active cyber defense.
By sharing and disseminating information on these policy challenges and their solutions, we seek to contribute to the strengthening of Japan’s security by ringing the alarm broadly across society and appealing to the government.
