Project Outline
This project seeks to highlight the potential for Japan, a country with a high level of expertise in nuclear technology, to exercise global leadership toward the promotion of nuclear nonproliferation. Moreover, this project aims to deepen the awareness, both within Japan and abroad, of nuclear safeguards measures – an important means of improving the international security environment and new international codes complementing these safeguard measures that further support nuclear nonproliferation.
