Year | Second year of a five-year project |
Project Type | Self Operated |
Budget | 28,000,000 yen |
Project Outline
In light of what some call a new Cold War between the U.S. and China, this project will review the significance of the Japan–U.S. alliance as a “public good” for Asia and the international community. Specifically, this project seeks to redefine and examine Japan’s new role in its national security with the ultimate goal of formulating national security policy recommendations. This project will take an evidence-based approach to security assessments using tabletop exercises (TTX) and new analytic approaches to consider a variety of situations.
