Project Outline
Japan, as a country advanced in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and the only nation to have suffered attacks by atomic bombs, has an important role to play regarding global nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation. To this end, this project aims to amass the diverse insights of experts from Japan, the U.S., and other countries through seminars on topics including the international control of nuclear fuel, international management of reprocessing and enrichment facilities, nuclear power plant safety management, and others. The results of these discussions will be drafted into policy proposals and compiled into written reports.
