Project Outline
With the aim of developing the next generation of women political leaders in Asia, this project collaborates with the Malaysian Slangor Women’s Empowerment and the Academy for Gender Parity to recruit participants from countries in Southeast Asia and Japan who have a high level of interest in careers in politics and provide online courses and training retreats in Japan. At the same time, this project invites women politicians from Southeast Asia to engage in dialogues with Japanese counterparts. In addition, this project will develop proposals to improve existing practices, institutions, and systems that hinder women’s participation in the political arena.
