Project Outline
By securing personnel for Palau’s maritime law enforcement and strengthening their capacity, this project will help ensure the appropriate operation of the small boats and patrol vessel provided by The Nippon Foundation, thereby contributing to the enhancement of Palau’s maritime security capabilities. In addition to Palau, on-site training will be conducted in the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands, further promoting trilateral cooperation among the three countries, the project aims to strengthen maritime law enforcement personnel across the Micronesian region as a whole, while also deepening people-to-people ties between Japan and these Freely Associated States in the field of maritime security.
