Project Outline

By securing maritime police officers in the Republic of Palau and hosting joint training sessions organized by the Japan Coast Guard Mobile Cooperation Team (MCT), this project aims to ensure the effective operations of the small-scale and medium-scale patrol boats provided by The Nippon Foundation and contributes to strengthening the capability of maritime security in the westernmost edge of the Micronesia region. This project also aims to realize and maintain stability across the Micronesia region by promoting cooperation among the Republic of Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Australia, the U.S., and Japan.
