Project Outline
Despite the rising security threat in the region, with several East Asian nations pursuing a military buildup that includes nuclear capability, there has been insufficient sharing of the intelligence that underpins nuclear arms control, which is designed to prevent unexpected or unanticipated situations from developing. The foundation uses a variety of approaches that take advantage of our expert networks and research findings to assess ongoing developments in relation to the nuclear warhead production cycle. The findings from this research project will be released in Japan and elsewhere with the goal of informing Japanese’s security strategy.
