Project Outline
In Myanmar, the use of digital money is rapidly expanding as one method of advancing digitization across the country. Not only does digital money allow for easier access to financial services, but it also has the potential to promote greater empowerment of women by expanding market opportunities and saving time, travel expenses, and other associated costs. Therefore, this project will carry out a training program to support micro women entrepreneurs in rural areas and women villagers who have not been able to take advantage of digital money due to lack of knowledge and access at the local level, and promote greater economic independence by helping them utilize digital financial services. This project will also support the digitization of rural areas by encouraging women entrepreneurs to become mobile money agents and accelerate the growth and acceptance of electronic money in these regions.
