Project Outline
At a time of increased interaction between the anime and gaming industries of Japan and China, there is a need for more professional training and research foundations. This is an important field that underpins public sentiment, even at times of heightened sensitivities in bilateral relations. It also represents a new initiative for the Sasakawa Japan-China Friendship Program. Through exchange initiatives and joint studies involving industry representatives and researchers from both Japan and China, this program pursues multifaceted investigations into the significance of anime and gaming interaction, the impacts on young people, and the potential for industry collaboration. In so doing, the program deepens the cultural ties between the two countries.
