This project builds on the foundation's achievements since 2019 in promoting exchanges between individuals involved in traditional crafts and publishing projects in Japan and China, in collaboration with private non-profit organizations in China, with the aim of further promoting exchanges. Although in-person exchanges had to be suspended during the pandemic, the production, translation, and publication of books continued unabated, with exchange visits eventually resuming in 2024. In addition to promoting and preserving traditional arts and crafts, this project is designed to serve as a model for new forms of international collaboration using external funding to strengthen ties between groups and organizations and promote cultural exchange between Japan and China.
