Project Outline
As the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on society becomes increasingly severe, we support investigative research, collaboration, dialogue, and exchange to help Japan and countries in Asia address common challenges. Using related projects as case studies, we will explore the social transformation and value created by respecting and recognizing the diverse identities rooted in local communities, cultures, and histories.
Our Opinion Leader Invitation project, which is one of our main activities, seeks to strengthen the relationships between key figures to bolster networks that will serve to deepen the bonds between Japan and Asia.
Furthermore, our Reimagining Asia and the World from COVID-19 responses project supports joint research, surveys, and intellectual dialogue between young and mid-career scholars in Japan and Asia. Through symposiums, publications, and academic discourse, we will study the outcomes of these projects from the perspectives of both regional and international relationships, and continuously share the results.
