With over 38 years of experience in international cooperation and public interest initiatives, Mr. Mori has held senior roles in leading nonprofit organizations, including The Sasakawa Peace Foundation, AMDA, JEN, and The Nippon Foundation, following an early career in the private sector.
At AMDA and JEN, he led emergency relief operations in conflict and disaster-affected areas such as Rwanda, the former Yugoslavia, and Kosovo. He also contributed to the establishment of Japan Platform to strengthen collaboration between the government and NGOs.
As Executive Director of The Nippon Foundation, he oversaw programs in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, and Latin America across humanitarian assistance, peacebuilding, rural development, public health, and education. He also supported the Government of Japan’s Special Evoy for National Reconciliation in Myanmar.
