The precious coral is deeply linked with man as an art object, an accessory, or a trade good.That's the reason the precious coral is an appealing subject of research for humanities as well as biology.We began an interdisciplinary study on the appeal of the precious coral and its biology and cultural history. -
Recovery of the Wild Stock of Ayu

The reductions of the stock of Ayu in river are report all over the country.Certain reasons such as the spread of cold water disease can be adduced, however, of immediate concern would be the reduction of the wild stock.In the Monobe River, the long-term efforts of fisheries cooperative help a recovery of the wild stock of Ayu.We can glimpse the way to coexist with nature in the future through this event.

European Shipbuilders Who Use Ship Safety as an Industrial Strategy

Although European shipbuilding tonnage is less than that of Japan and South Korea, European shipbuilders are making the most sales surpassing Japan and South Korea by mainly targeting leading-edge ship construction. Even more surprising, 10% of the sales are being allotted as fund for R&D.Recently, we see some sort of move towards raising the safety level at the IMO and research projects about safety.It really is becoming a great threat for the Japanese shipbuilding industry where the fund for R&D has gotten smaller.
