The training of personnel who will play a major role in China as a maritime nation in the 21st century

China has undergone a major transformation over the past 20 years. Under the slogan to aim for world standards, the Chinese government not only tried to transform the economy of markets, but also made huge investments in the scientific research and education fields and introduced the principle of competition. I would like to introduce a global strategy for education and the training of personnel in China, including subsidies for cultivating top-rank researchers.

Marine education in the U.K. conforms to the perception that as a maritime country, marine science and technology education and training are extremely important for the U.K. and its importance will be further increased. Current situation and problems of marine and fisheries education in South Korea

The number of people using sea routes to and from isolated islands has been recently declining due to depopulation and the progression of aging, so ship operators to and from the islands are facing difficult operational conditions. However, because of the particularity of the isolated islands where there is no other means of transportation other than by ship, it is necessary to ensure a minimum means of transportation for island life and measures to do so are a major issue. Furthermore, there is also a demand to steadily proceed with the conversion from ships to ferries, and the provision of high-speed transportation and barrier-free features in response to a change in the need and diversification of transportation.
