Located between the Kingdom of Norway and Iceland in Northern Europe, the Faroe Islands are an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark. The Faroe Islands are well known in Scandinavia as a treasure trove of various resources, art, and culture, however, are not well understood in Japan.

In this seminar, H. E. Mr. Høgni Hoydal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Industry, and Trade of the Faroe Islands, will introduce the foreign policy, economic policy, and tourism policy of the Faroe Islands with its rich resources, and discuss the role of the Faroe Islands in the future Arctic policy.
