Notice on our response to a security breach

October 28, 2024
Translated from Japanese
2 Min. Read

The following information outlines a security breach that occurred at the foundation and our response.

1. Date of Detection
Tuesday, November 21, 2023

2. Investigation Results
As a result of an investigation, malware was found on some servers and computers, and traces of network information such as IP addresses were found to have been leaked. No leakage of personal information has been confirmed at this time.

3. Response
After detecting the security breach, we promptly requested an investigation by a security vendor and conducted a detailed analysis. While sharing information with the police and government agencies, we took measures such as performing a factory reset on the affected equipment and blocking communication with the transmission destination. In addition, we have strengthened security measures to prevent recurrence.

We sincerely apologize for any concern this may have caused to all parties involved. We will continue to take further security measures. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
