Project Outline
Running from 2019 to March 2022, our Preserving and Sharing Histories and Memories of Northeast India project has aimed to expand opportunities for people to pass on their memories and records to the next generation, such as with the use of the audiovisual archives we have been developing. In addition to these activities, which have already yielded results, and efforts to expand opportunities for self-expression through publications and films, we will strengthen operational capabilities by dispatching experts and inviting them to Japan. By positioning it as a real-world focus for the formation of a model of cultural inclusiveness, and by propagating that model through networks between parties both within and outside the region, we promote the empowerment of the social minorities who play a central role in the realization of a multicultural society in Asia.
