Launching: "Migrant Workers' Rights in ASEAN Region: A Baseline Study"

Human Rights Working Group (HRWG) in Indonesia and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) have completed a research entitled "Migrant Workers' Rights in ASEAN Region: A Baseline Study". This is an advocacy-research aims to assess the human rights situation of migrant workers based on core issues stipulated in the ASEAN Consensus on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers. HRWG and SPF hope that this research can encourage the implementation of ASEAN Consensus in the ASEAN Member States according to this research-based facts. This book will be launched soon on 29 January 2019 in the event called Book Launch and Policy Dialogue on “The Future of Human Rights Cooperation on Migrant Workers’ Rights in ASEAN and Beyond” in Jakarta, Indonesia. A similar event will also be held in early march in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Full book can be downloaded through the HRWG website.
