Sanghoe Lee
International Relations & Military Strategy, Law of the Sea, International Humanitarian Law (IHL), Rhetorical Argumentation Theory
Sanghoe Lee is a security expert specializing in international relations and law. He graduated from the ROK Naval Academy (including two years in the Japanese National Defense Academy) and received a LLM from Korea Maritime and Ocean University. He is currently studying IHL in Hitotsubashi University’s doctoral course.
After graduating from the Naval Academy, he worked as a line officer for the ROK Navy, spending most of his career in the submarine forces. In addition, he has gained experience in various roles within the Navy, include Instructor at the Naval Academy, Operation Planning Officer at the CTF-151 anti-pirate squadron in U.S. Fifth Fleet, and Human Resources Management officer at Navy HQ. He retired from the ROK Navy in 2023 at the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
