Amb. Dr. Fabrizio Bozzato is a Senior Research Fellow in the Planning and Coordination Department of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF). He obtained a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Milan, an MA in International Relations from the University of Tasmania, and a PhD in Political Science from Tamkang University. He previously held a research position at Sapienza University of Rome and contributes to the Arctic Peace and Governance Research Group, coordinated by UiT – The Arctic University of Norway and SPF. He specializes in ocean policy, maritime governance, and regional diplomacy. He also serves as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (non-resident) of the Sovereign Order of Malta (SMOM) to the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Nauru. He was invested as a Knight of Magistral Grace of SMOM in 2023 and awarded the Order of the Star of Italy in 2021.
