Political Psychology, Strategic Outcomes, and Options for the Asia-Pacific 'Quad-Plus'”と題する論説を掲載し、ここでPaparellaはCOVID-19によって引き起こされるアジア太平洋地域への地政学的影響についての分析上の考慮事項として、①主要各国における長期的な経済的、政治的、財政的苦痛の拡大、②中国にとってのアジア太平洋地域に形成されつつある対立的な枠組み（Quad-plus）との協調の困難性、③米国が米中対立のリスクに気付くのは中国が外交上の孤立を是とする道を選択した場合であること、の三点を指摘しつつ、これらの問題の回避には採用する戦略の長期的影響について体系的に考えることが重要と論じている。
