Born in Okayama Prefecture, Dr. Heigo Sato received his Ph.D. in political science at Hitotsubashi University in 1999. He joined the National Institute for Defense Studies and served as Research Assistant and Senior Fellow. In 2006, he joined the Takushoku University and served as a professor since 2014.
