Project contents
With around 90% of the population of Laos working in or directly dependent on agriculture, rural development is of vital importance to the country's efforts to introduce a market-based economy. Through this project, Lao government and NGO personnel are invited to Thailand to undertake training programs aimed at applying the development experience of Thailand and Japan to rural development in Laos. Thirty trainees took part in the programs this year.
