Assistance for the Reform of Economics Curricula in Vietnam

Project contents
In order to facilitate its smooth transition from a planned to a market-based economy, Vietnam must cultivate young personnel well versed in market-economy principles. This project helps meet that need by supporting the reform of the country's university economics curricula toward market economy. Japanese and Vietnamese academics took part in joint study meetings held in Tokyo, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Osaka and focused on three areas of distinct contrast between planned and market economic systems: marketing, business management, and finance and accounting.
