On 13 and 14 October 2014, a workshop was held at UNU headquarters and over 30 scholars and experts exchanged views on India and Japan's current situations and potential cooperation in the fields of economics, foreign policy and security, energy, and global governance. Some younger scholars of India and Japan also take part in this project as key players and the meeting provided an opportunity of networking for those who will be leading the next generation of policy research in the both countries.
