SPF- NAJAS Seminar Series Information and Video Release 2023
【Geostrategy in the Grassroots Series 2023】
In 2023-2024, Sasakawa Peace Foundation partnered with the National Association of Japan America Societies(NAJAS) to organize "Geostrategy in the Grassroots" prograqm. This is a series of seminars hosted by local Japan-America Societies in the U.S. focusing on the geostrategic challenges Japan and the U.S. face in a changing Asia.
The five seminars were devoted to discussions on important subthemes, including changes in Japan's foreign, security, and defense policies; changes in the security environment in Asia and the Indo-Pacific region, especially China; changes in the relationship between Europe and the Indo-Pacific region, as well as economic security perspectives, including global-scale supply chain issues; and the geopolitical impact of AI and other technological advancements.
