The Global Frontier Fund was newly established following the merger of The Sasakawa Peace Foundation and the Ship & Ocean Foundation (the Ocean Policy Foundation) on April 1, 2015. The Fund conducts and supports projects that lead to the further development of projects that both Foundations have been carrying out, and that represent this merger.
