Invitation to a seminar
"India - Japan Economic Cooperation - Current Engagement and Future Prospects" (6 Aug, 2009)
Closed.
The Academic Award winning film, "Slumdog$Millionaire," has become a popular film around the world. Produced in a huge studio in Mumbai, "Bollywood" has rightly been a match for Hollywood, a genuine movie world. Global emergence of Bollywood films as symbolized by Slumdog Millionaire mirrors the active and continuous growth of India's socio-economic vital power.

Focusing on the Indian economy that is steadily growing up with the strength of its vast domestic market even under the current global financial crisis, this seminar is to shed light on the present situation and the future prospects of the economic relations between India and Japan. The ruling Congress Party had just won the general election in June and ushered in establishing the 2nd Manmohan Singh administration. Timing with the start of the 2nd cabinet, we expect that the bilateral "The Strategic and Global Partnership" will progress further in various fields.

The SPF provides all participants the opportunity to share understanding for the reality and potentiality of India.
